If you park at the Works parking area, you take about a 5-8 min portage to the lake. the best beach, and swimming is right at the launch site. If you paddle out of the bay where you launch you turn right and head north up the lake. There is a stream that flows into the lake on the north west shore, and the lean-to is just up the hill from there.

Planning a solo canoe camping fishing trip for Thursday through Labor Day at the end of the month but have not decided where, but I want to know what kind of tackle to bring if I decide to go there..
